Avatar announces "Don’t Go in the Forest" and sets fire to the quiet

The forest is real. So is the fight.

Avatar just announced their new album Don’t Go in the Forest, out October 31, 2025, and a war cry with: “Tonight We Must Be Warriors.”, check it out here:

“Tonight We Must Be Warriors” doesn’t hint at themes—it charges straight into them. The riffs are primal, the chorus is built for shouted unity, and the pacing stays tight without slipping into polish-for-the-sake-of-polish. It’s aggressive without feeling mechanical. There’s sweat and bark in it.

The band recorded the new album in a remote house in the Swedish woods. Total isolation. No distractions. That kind of setting usually signals introspection, but not here. Avatar took that isolation and came back swinging. This isn’t an escape. It’s a declaration. The setting might be rural, but the energy is sharpened for war.

The band says this record is about “standing our ground,” and it shows. No sign they’re following trends or trying to recapture anything. They’re building something new with stone tools and ash.

It’s not clear yet how deep the concept goes, but the release date tells you everything you need to know. You don’t choose Halloween unless you’re planning to haunt something. Based on this first track, Don’t Go in the Forest is shaping up to be a call to the wild. Primitive. Loud. Unified.

If your armor is sound and your faith is noise, DethNote Apparel makes gear for that kind of fight.
